I think two of the biggest Squish fans attend the school where I'm a teacher-librarian. They are WILD about Squish. Yesterday they begged me to let them read the advance reader's copy of Squish: Captain Disaster. I, of course, let them go off to a comfy corner to get lost in Squish's forthcoming adventure. Just moments after reading the final page, they recorded the following thoughts. Thank you to my wonderful second graders.
*"Squish: Captain Disaster is an awesome graphic novel.”
*"I love reading books before people can buy them in stores."
*"It taught me about giving everyone a turn. You need to play soccer for the fun of it."
*"Squish learns how to play fairly and becomes a good captain."
*"I think EVERYONE should read the Squish series."
*"My favorite part is when they practice different soccer moves. "
*"Peggy is strong because she’s the best player without legs and feet. We see that Peggy is not always like a rainbow."
*"You can learn how to draw Pod in the back of the book."

*"Pod and Squish love Twinkies."
*"Pod can harness lightning."
*"I give it 5 stars."
*"I give it 5 stars. Can I give it ten stars, Mr. Schu?"
*"We want to read Squish: Game On! right now. Do we really have to wait until May 2013?"
