#GiveBooks

Monday, November 12, 2012

There's nothing better than pulling into your driveway and spotting a big box of books on the front porch. If you’re anything like me, then the following occurs as soon as you spot the box:

1. Stress? What’s stress? You forget all about this s word.
2. You practically jump out of the car.
3.  Scissors? Who has time for scissors?
4.  You're reminded that there's something magical about the physical book. You cannot wait to go on exciting adventures and meet new friends.
5.   If you did not pay for the books, you brainstorm how to pay it forward.
I am a firm believer in giving away books, which is why I am thankful Chronicle Books invited me to participate in #GiveBooks.

We’re partnering with some of our favorite authors, artists, and blogs to help spread the book love this season. This week, each of them is creating a gift guide filled with ten Chronicle books that they’re gifting to friends and family. And in the spirit of giving, we’re donating a set of books for each of them to give away to one of their readers. Check out all of the participating blogs for a chance to win:
