I filmed my A Visit to William Blake's Inn: Poems for Innocent and Experienced Travelers video before The One and Only Ivan won the Newbery Medal. I'll say plenty about Newbery Medalist Katherine Applegate (doesn't that sound lovely?) and The One and Only Ivan in next week's Newbery Challenge video. :)

A Note from Travis Jonker
Oooh boy. I’m up against the only book to have won the Newbery Medal and Caldecott Honor today. This is pretty silly – trying to redo the cover on a Caldecott Honor-winning book. The Provensens are unbeatable. But according to the contract I signed with myself at the beginning of this project (weird, I know) redo every Newbery winner I must. No exceptions.
