A Virtual Author Visit with author Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen is an effective way to connect your students to an author that can be both economical and intimate. In each group, Sudipta will focus on your students' particular needs and interests. Their burning questions can be answered in a way that is warm and personal. As long as they can see the screen, the students will feel like they are a part of the conversation.
The format of Sudipta's Virtual Visits is loose and comfortable. She starts with a short introductory presentation, but then opens the floor up to your students' questions. The way each presentation evolves depends on the audience but always concentrates on motivating the students to read and write. For grades 3 and up, the Virtual Visits are 50 minutes long. For younger children, the sessions are 30 minutes.
